Episode 3:Deep in the Heart of Invasion
Introduction
Narrator: Last time on X-COM:Earth Defenders, the X-COM personal
of the Lost Pines base tries to enjoy the calm in the storm after
the last dangerous mission. Jenni Evans is confronted by her
boss, and is warnned about her tabloidish alerts about an
extraterrestrial threat. Meanwhile, Mike Tompson and Jessica
Tompson discovers a dangerously frightneing new alien threat, as
it appears the aliens prepare for a possible all out war agianst
the X-COM forces.
Narrator: At this time, an alien fleet aproaches the city of
Dallas, a terror creeps up on the unsuspecting citizens.
ACT I
Narrator: It is a clear night, a warm Texan evening. Two men
Johnson and Daylin sits and watches the starts unaware of the
terror about to occur.
Johnson:Ever notice every night here in Texas feels the same?
Daylin: It has taken you this long to notice it... you've lived
here all your life and you finally notice it is the same ever
night, all year long!
Johnson:So I might be a bit slow...Daylin: Might... ha! We know
you are slow!
Johnson: Great funny... hey look at that!Daylin: What is it?
Johnson: That light... is it a low flying plane?
Daylin: It is a real low one, and huge!Johnson: It is heading
this way...
Narrator:A humming noise is heard, which begins to become a
rumble as the large flying light begins to come closer and closer
to the house...
Johnson: What the hell is it?Daylin: You think I know?!
Narrator: Suddenly a bright light strikes the house and it goes
up in a fireball as the flying saucer passes over the house on to
its next target. Across the street an old women frantiacly tries
to call the authorities as she watches the flying object...
On the phone: Yes, this is Dallas.COM
Old Woman: Hello? There is one of thoes UFO thingies, it...its
huge! It destroyed a house and is heading..Ahhha!
Narrator: The phone call is cut off as the house is destroyed and
the large extraterrestrial starship moves on, it returns to its
course, its destination the bright lights of Dallas, Texas.
Narrator: Meanwhile, in the offices of Dallas.COM...
Reporter: Miss Evans, we just got a report of a large flying ship
coming towards Dallas, it even destroyed a house.
Evans:What?
Reporter: Boy Jenni, now that you delivered that story, all the
lonney toons in Texas are calling you
Narrator: Jenni Evans gets a serious look on her face, and starts
to walk towards the stage.
Evans: All right, get ready to go online, cut any program right
now! This is an emergancy...
The Reporter laughs: You gotta be kiding...
Evans: This is the real thing! Get that camera online, and get me
on!
Tech: Miss Evans you are on in 5...4...3...2..1...now!
Evans: Hello, sorry to disturb you program but this is a citywide
emergancy, an extraterrestrial threat...
Narrator:In a dark room, a shadowy man is watching Jenni's
report, and is angered...
Shadow Man:So, she could not listen to my direct order not to
persue the aliens, well I guess I have no choice...
Computerized Voice: Eliminate her!
Shadow Man: On my way!END OF ACT I
ACT II:
Narrator: The X-COM forces at the Lost Pines base continue to
debate over the threat of the extraterrestrial base, and an all
out war with the aliens when a soldier rushes in on the senior
personal...
Soldier: Sir, there is something I belive you should see on
Dallas.COM!
Rowell:Thank you, dismissed, Kari please turn on
Dallas.COM...Kari:Aye sir...
On the television....
Evans: The reports are coming in that a large extraterrestrial
spacecraft is approaching Dallas... this is not a hoax... This is
a citywide emergancy!....
Narrator:The signal is cut and replaced by a net error message...
Rowell:Damn! They jumped the gun! Everyone ready for action, Kari
perp the Skyranger:Enterprise! Get thoese Interceptors burning!
Narrator: The X-COM Lost Pines base moved in action to try to
lauch an intercept mission on the aliens, meanwhile, on the set
of Dallas.COM...
Evans:What do you mean Net Congestion? We have a priority signal!
Tech: I am sorry Miss Evans, I can't seem to get our signal
through...
Narrator: Phill Tyson walk on to the set...
Tyson: Jenni Evans, I told you not to do a stunt like that again,
that was your one and olny warning, your fired!
Evans:Fine, I'll do it on my own!
Narrator: Jenni Evans storms off the set, leaving Phill and the
techinacn behind...
Tech:What does she mean?
Narrator: Tyson ignores him as she follows Evans down the hall,
and confronts her when they are alone, pulling out a large
strange riffle...
Tyson: Sorry, Miss Evans, but you know to much...Narrator:Evans
turns around...
Evans:What the hell are you talking about?
Narrator: Evans jumps out of the way as Tyson shoots the plasma
riffle, just missing her and causing a large explosion off the
wall...
Evans:Shit!
Narrator: Jenni doges plasma as she gets in the elevator going
down. Tyson blows the elvevator shaft doors open with the plasma
riffle and looks down at the elevator, points and shoots. The
blast hits the elevator causing massive damage and spewing debris
on Jenni...
Evans: What the hell is that gun?
Narrator: She opens the elvevator door manual at the 10 floor and
gets out as the elevator is blown apart, falling down towards the
basement, hitting and smahing. She looks up as Tyson slides down
the cable in the shaft, shooting more plasma bolt at her...
Evans:What the hell are you?Tyson: Your worst nightmare!
Narrator: Evans opens the door to the elvevator shaft and starts
running down the hall, taking out her pistol. The door behind her
blows open in fire and Tyson walks out unhurt. Jenni starts to
fire repeatedly, emtying half the clip! Tyson is shot back, green
blood coming out of the wounds...She walks over to the fallen
Tyson...
Evans:Yuck...What the hell are you Phill...
Narrator:Phill Tyson's eyes glow green...
Tyson:I am an sectoid-human hybrid, clone model
5...Evans:Clone...sectoid?
Tyson:The grey almond eyed aliens commonly descirbed by humans in
abduction scenarios...
Evans:Huh?
Tyson: I am half human-half alien, I was produced by the sectoids
as an infiltration unit, to infiltrate humanity and gather
information, to help for the alien invasion...
Evans:Your one of them?
Tyson: The information you began to learn could be of use to the
X-COM orginization, we must stop their defense program, they are
the aliens olny threat...
Evans:You son of a...Tyson: Son of a test tube, Miss Evans and
now you die!
Narrator:Tyson begins to swing up his plasma riffle when Jenni
Evans send three bullets into his head, instantly the human skin
on Tyson begins to melt, revealing Sectoid features, Jenni picks
up Phill Tysons Plasma Riffle...
Evans:Hmm...an alien riffle eh? Might be useful...
Narrator: Jenni Evans quickly leaves the Dallas.COM office
building as the bloddy body of Phill Tyson is found...
End of ACT II
ACT III
Narrator: The Skyranger Enterprise and two Interceptors rush to
intercept the Large Alien warship perpare to lay waste to Dallas
Texas...
Rowell:There it is...Hanson:It is huge!
Rowell:Kari, tell the Interceptors to move in and fire at
will!Hanson:Aye sir!
Narrator:But as soon Kari Hanson, begin to radio the
Interceptors, four ufos droped out of the warship and sped off
towards Dallas...
Rowell:Shit, order the interceptors to go after thoes smaller
ships, we will slow down the warship...
Hanson:Uh..yes sir..Narrator:An unsure Mike Tompson wispered to
Jake Rowell..,
Tompson:Uh, sir? We don't have any weapons to fire at that big
thing out there.
Rowell smiles:We will have to improvise! Close in on that
warship!Pilot:Yes sir!
Narrator:The Skyranger closes in on the alien ship, which begins
to fire on them...
Rowell: Get real close to them! Tompson lower the ramp, Kari give
me that rocket launcher and a Heavy Explosive
Narrator:They follow the orders, but as Rowell nears the ramp,
Kari can't help but ask a question...
Hanson:Exscuse me sir, but what on earth are you
doing?Rowell:Improvising
Narrator: Jake takes some rope and ties the heavy explosive to a
rocket and loads the rocket in, he walks out onto the ramp slowly
and carefully, when all of a sudden a lazer shoots by the ramp,
Jake Rowell feels the heat comming from the lazer...
Rowell:My turn!
Narrator: Jake aims, and then launches the rocket agianst the
UFO, which slams agianst the hull causing a large explosion and
then a bigger one as the heavy explosive detonates...
Rowell:Hoorah!
Narrator: Suddenly, the ramp is hit and torn apart, and Jake is
left hanging on to the Skyranger...
Rowell: Ahha...Hanson:Jake, give me your hand!
Narrator: Kari pulls Jake up as the Skyranger takes another
hit...
Tompson: Sir, the skyranger has recieved a good deal of damage, I
think it is time to peel off...
Rowell: No, now this ship is entering the city, we have to stop
it! Give me the controls!
Pilot:Yes sir!Rowell: I am taking that thing down!
Narrator:Jake Rowell takes the Skyranger Enterprise and slams it
into the UFO. The personal inside the Skyranger are knocked off
their feet. Jake takes the Skyranger underneath the UFO as it
enters the downtown area of the city!
Rowell:Dam you aliens, die already!
Narrator: Rowell despratley tries to dodge the warships
lazers,but the left wing is severouly damaged. He takes the ship
and tilts it on its right wing, speeds up, and hits the central
propoultion sphere, destroying it and his wing and sending the
Skyranger crashing down...
Hanson:Sir! We are going down!Rowell:Prepare for a crash landing!
Narrator: The ship is sent hurtling on fire down, crashing into
the streets of Dallas, meanwhile, the large UFO crashes into a
skyscraper! Jenni Evans, in her car driving out of Dallas as fast
as she can, sees the UFO crash, ans is amazed, she hears the
fimilar sound of flying UFOs and Interceptors flying overhead
again...
Interceptor Pilot:Jaris, help me! I got one of them on my tail!!!
Interceptor Pilot Jaris: Moving in to get him! He is a fast one!
I can't seem to get a target lock...wait... got one, launching
missile!
Narrator: The UFO is hit and crashes into the overpass that Jenni
is driving down, she stops the car just 30 feet away from the
smoldering wreakage of the UFO. Jenni Evans laughs a bit...
Evans:Thanks X-COM, just what I always wanted...wait a minute...
Narrator: Jenni Evans watches in horror as three sctoids starts
to get to get out of the wreckage, each one holding a plasma
riffle...
Evnas:Uh-oh...
