A second shot rang out from the hill above and the rearmost stinger exploded violently as its fusion core detonated. The last mech was nearly vaporized in the explosion but somehow survived with huge chunks of armor hanging off like dead skin. As Lt.Col. Phipps waited for his weapons to reload the last mech he had yet to destroy spotted him and charged. As the enemy mech charged Col.Phipps felt the shells locking into place. The mech lurched back as the shells flew from their barrels. The stinger’s legs vaporized beneath it and it fell to the ground with tremendous crash. “Surrender your life or I take it from you.” Stephen said spitefully. Col.Phipps turned off his music and awaited the reply…..
